Aksi sempat diwarnai bentrokan antara mahasiswa dan aparat kepolisian yang berjaga. Para mahasiswa yang ingin masuk ke Gedung DPRD dipukul mundur Polisi dengan tembakan <em>water canon<\/em> dan gas air mata.<\/p>\n<p>Mahasiswa yang terkena gas air mata berhamburan membasuh mata mereka dengan air mineral dan air di kolam retensi di kawasan Palembang Icon, Jalan POM IX Palembang.
